Objective: SWBAT review and correct their answers for Writing Section 4.  SWBAT understand the meanings and usages of twenty new SAT vocabulary words.

Do-Now: Take out Writing Section 4 and compare your answers with a classmate.

2) SAT Vocabulary List #3

Exit Slip: Use FIVE of your SAT vocabulary words correctly in sentences.  (One sentence per word.)

Objective: SWBAT complete a practice writing section for the SAT using grammar skills reviewed in class.

Do-Now: Grammar Review: What is a comma splice?  What is parallelism?  What is a dangling modifier?  How do you make subjects/verbs agree?  What is a sentence fragment?

Today: Complete the starred questions from Writing Section 4.  Next to each question, I have written which type of grammar error it represents.  You may work with a partner if you would like.

Homework: Finish the starred questions from Writing Section 4.

Objective: SWBAT identify and correct errors in Parallelism.

Do-Now: You have THREE minutes to study and prepare for your quiz.  Make sure you have something to write with before we begin.

Today: Parallelism Quiz (Tests 2 and 5)  Make sure to follow the directions at the top of each page!

Homework: If you missed Vocabulary Quiz #2, schedule a time to make it up ASAP!
